GenFest I:
Fun and Fabulous 5–95

Capitol Hill Village is hosting its first GenFest on January 20 – an intergenerational festival to celebrate community with young and old. The half-day event will feature community art, games, story telling and more. Activities include puzzles and game playing from Labyrinth Games, a goofy photo booth to get your picture in time. Have a try at Ukulele playing and join a sing-along. Meet with neighbors and friends to create a life. Plus, meet Maury Elementary School’s 5th Grade artists and Capitol Hill Village’s models and artists alike at the opening exhibit of the Maury CHV Portraiture Project. Volunteers needed, especially youngsters and men. Call the office if you want to discuss volunteering.

CAPITOL HILL VILLAGE 10TH ANNIVERSARY

Passport to Our Future!

CHV has a range of fabulous activities to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. We are working across the community to build a greater awareness of longevity and its impact on society. And we are elevating awareness and expanding partnerships and collaboration across the community.

Mapping the Course for the Future: CHV has a 10th Anniversary campaign to build resources so we can continue as a model and expand programs and services — and ensure that the Village is prepared to meet the needs of an aging population.

February 2018: Building an Itinerary for Life. Four programs helping to think about the future optimistically. Designed for the 40, 50 and 60 somethings. The sessions look at designing a future of good health, adventure, friends and prosperity.
